After graduating from Wellington Polytechnic School of Design with a degree in industrial design, Danny Coster ran his own consultancy in Wellington, before spending four years working in Australia.
In 1993 he took his portfolio to studios in New York and California and subsequently began working for Apple Computers. The rest is history, with two decades of contributions to Apple's industrial design team that have defined our experience of digital communication, resulted in numerous coveted products, and been recognised by many international awards and accolades. These include the prestigious D&AD black pencil in 2012 for the best design studio of the past 50 years.
Danny holds a number of design patents, and Apple products are in permanent museum collections worldwide, including New York's Museum of Modern Art and The Pompidou in Paris.
